Nate read stories with Pop tonight. At one point, he reached up and wanted to wear his glasses. He looks better with glasses than his dad did as a kid.
Nate and his sister and his mommy spent the weekend hanging out with Gramma Karen at Nan and Pop's house while Grampy Keith and I worked on tiling a bathroom. Nate was sure glad to see us when we finally finished. Thanks to Gramma Karen for sharing this photo, too!
Wichita received its first measurable snowfall of the season today. We probably had three or four inches at our house. But because Nate's got a cold, he wasn't able to go outside with Mommy and Maddie after work. Instead, he had to stay inside and play with Daddy. He didn't really play. He just stood by the patio doors and watched. Poor guy, I wish I could have taken him out! I have a photo that shows him considerably upset but I opted not to put the grandparents through that!
Today was our busiest day of celebration. First, we celebrated Maddie's second birthday with bagels for breakfast and pizza (her choice!) for lunch. Then, after naps, we headed to Nan and Pop's for Christmas Eve. Nate didn't care so much for this outfit but did like all the toys he got!
Mommy came home sick from work today and Lisa reported that Nate threw up right at the end of daycare. So to give mom some rest, we retreated to Nan and Pop's house for dinner. Of course, Nate didn't eat. Well, he did eat about three bites of peaches and a few sips of water, all of which came back up. Poor guy. And poor Mommy, too! Let's hope they feel better before Christmas.
Maddie and Nate play a duet on some musical toys at Nan and Pop's tonight. As usual when Dad's away shooting a wedding, the rest of the family seek refuge (for awhile, at least) at Angie's grandparents' house!
I know of a few chicks, including Gramma Karen who, tonight while watching the kids at Nan and Pop's house, said that Nate is so perfect his poop doesn't even stink!
Thanks to Nan and Pop for giving us free tickets, we took Nate to his first baseball game tonight. The Wichita Wingnuts beat the Grand Prairie Air Hogs 11-3. Of course, it was only 3-2 when we left but it was well past the kids' bedtime. We made it through four and a half innings, though, which counts as an official game. Go 'Nuts! (And Go Nate!)
Great Uncle Kenny and his girlfriend Marsha came to visit Nan and Pop today so we took the kids over to meet them. Of course, they spent a lot of time with Nan and Gramma Karen, as usual.
