03.31.11 - Sandbox

We used a portion of our tax refund to buy a couple of outdoor toys - a new wagon and this sandbox. So far, it's been a big hit. It's occupied Maddie and Nate for at least 30 minutes on two different occasions.

03.10.11 - Parking spot

Nate walks in from parking his sister's car in the backyard.

01.19.11 - Chef Nate

Nate loves to play kitchen while we make dinner. Tonight he whipped up a little something called Grape Celery Hot Dog Corn Pickle Potato Surprise. Once again, Nan, eat your heart out!

01.17.11 - Clean Plate Nate

The fun thing about learning to eat off a plate is that you can play with it when you're done!

01.13.11 - Cruisin' in the kitchen

Nate's really gettin' around the house with the help of his walker rider toy. One minute he's in the kitchen, the next minute he's in the living room, the next minute he's ... Nate?!! Where did you go?!!

12.26.10 - Christmas Day, Part II

The day after Christmas is always reserved for Gramma Karen and Grampy Keith. We gathered at their house where Maddie and Nate loved playing with all their new toys with their cousins Emerson, Savannah and Taylor. Keaton's around there somewhere. He might be hiding in one of those huge stacks of gifts!

12.14.10 - Car & Driver

Nate's really likes playing with his new cars, one of which came from Brian and Emily. He likes to push them toward the end of the hallway, which is becoming a popular hangout spot with his sister.

12.13.10 - Bedtime monkey milk

Nate's growing awfully fond of his Snuggly Monkey, making sure he has it going to and getting up from bed.

12.10.10 - Music to our ears

Maddie and Nate play a duet on some musical toys at Nan and Pop's tonight. As usual when Dad's away shooting a wedding, the rest of the family seek refuge (for awhile, at least) at Angie's grandparents' house!

12.08.10 - And that's all I need

I need this snuggly and that's all I need. And this. I need this binky. I need this snuggly and this binky and that's all I need!

11.23.10 - This boy needs a car or two

Nate likes to push things around the house. So, if you're wondering what to get him for Christmas, get him so cars and trucks! Poor kid, we're still pretty heavy on girl toys around here.

11.17.10 - Full house

Fortunately, I think there's room for at least one more.

11.15.10 - Baby cages

Angie's boss in the library at KU refers to playpens as "baby cages." When you have two kids (and one on the way) you can't afford fancy baby cages so diaper boxes will have to work. :)

10.29.10 - Boy eats shark

Nate kept this shark in his mouth for most of his bath time tonight. Splashed with both hands and never dropped it.

10.09.10 - How'd you do that, Maddie?!!

Nate watches as Maddie shows him how to work the Laugh and Learn table.

10.03.10 - Do you have this in blue?

Nate enjoys being able to see the top of his laugh and learn table from his cozy perch that is Maddie's chair. She's good at sharing but when she saw him sitting in her chair, she started yelling, "Bruh-der! Bruh-der! Bruh-der!" her voice raising in volume with each "bruh-der!"

So, Gramma Karen and Grampy Keith ... think you can get this in blue? ;)

Nate enjoys a game of peek-a-boo with his Mommy while watching K-State beat UCLA on the opening day of the college football season. Go State!
