11.18.11 - Cookie Monster!

Nate enjoys a freshly baked cookie for afternoon snack.

08.14.11 - (Not so) Mr. Clean

Contrary to yesterday's post, Nate is anything but clean when eating. He especially enjoyed having chocolate pudding for dessert at Gramma Karen and Grampy Keith's today. Or maybe the chocolate pudding had him!

08.09.11 - Cheeps*

Nate thought it was hilarious to feed me chips on the floor before dinner tonight. He'd stick part of one in my mouth, breaking it off at his finger tips and just laugh, laugh laugh about it. Because of the commotion (or maybe because there was food involved), Harley had to check it out.


And when Nate wouldn't share with her, she chased him around the living room!

06.27.11 - Breakfast with Daddy

Nate is the early bird at our house and usually eats a banana with Daddy every morning before Maddie and Tommy even wake up. He likes bananas so much he is trying to steal Daddy's even though he has his own!

04.15.11 - Gonna need a bigger kitchen

Nate got to join in on the fun in baking cookies with Mommy and Maddie tonight. Oddly enough, I think he liked playing drums on the canisters more than he liked the cookies! I wonder if there will be room for Tommy on that counter, too? Looks like we're gonna need a bigger kitchen sooner than I thought!

03.02.11 - Stick a fork in it

Susan, a real nice lady from work, said sent us home with dinner tonight. Actually, that's an understatement. She actually sent us home with 15 pounds of food that can combine for three different meals! (Yes, I stepped on the bathroom scale to see how much it actually weighed.) Tonight we chose the chicken pot pie and Nate loved it! Not only that but he used a fork for the first time!

02.13.11 - Head of the table

Nate is now joining us at the big table for meal times. Still drinking occasionally from a baby bottle, though.

01.19.11 - Chef Nate

Nate loves to play kitchen while we make dinner. Tonight he whipped up a little something called Grape Celery Hot Dog Corn Pickle Potato Surprise. Once again, Nan, eat your heart out!

01.18.11 - Bad aim

Mom proved to have bad aim at dinner tonight. To her credit, though, it can be hard to hit a moving target!

01.17.11 - Clean Plate Nate

The fun thing about learning to eat off a plate is that you can play with it when you're done!

01.12.11 - Dinner to go

We didn't put the brakes on Nate's high chair and after dinner Nate pushed it through the living room. We think we'll be walking soon.

01.11.11 - Don't feed Harley!

Nate is Harley's new best friend at dinner time.

I think Nate's gonna do alright at his birthday party next month!

01.06.11 - Seafood diet

01.05.11 - Open mouth, insert hand

Nate's getting pretty close to being able to stuff his entire hand in his mouth. I have no idea how he actually gets any food in there.

12.28.10 - Props

We are starting to discover some major differences between Maddie and Nate. For instance, if you gave Maddie a bottle, she'd lie on the floor and drink it. If you give Nate a bottle, well, it's hard telling what he might do. He might drink it, he might drop it on the floor and swat it under the sofa or he might us the sofa to hold it for him. Hey, Lazy Bones! Hold your own bottle! And quit playin' with your food!

12.27.10 - Learning to share

If only Maddie would share her toys as well as she shares Puffs.

12.09.10 - Taste tester

Nate gets to be the taste-tester for a batch of alphabet soup Maddie whipped up while waiting for their mom and dad to whip up some real dinner.
