02.03.11 - Birthday boy!

Before scooting out to work, Mommy made Nate a special birthday breakfast of blueberry pancakes with eggs. We'll celebrate in style at a party this weekend. And while I'll post some photos of Nate here periodically through the next weeks and months, this is the last "daily" post. Thanks to all of Nate's loyal fans for checking in and putting up with extended gaps between posts. I can't believe he's a year already and I can't wait to see what the next year brings! Good times, I'm sure!

Nate's so happy that K-State finally won a basketball game that he's wearing his Wildcat jams to bed tonight. Go State!

Nate woke up really happy from a nap at Nan and Pop's house today! Those eyes are as big as saucers!

As with Maddie, there was no shortage of photos from today from which to choose. Nate had spaghetti for the first time and, well, is this not the stinkinest cutest boy you've ever seen??!!!

10.21.10 - First kiss

Nate got his first kiss tonight as we were hanging out with our neighbors Andrew and Tori and their daughter Kenleigh. He didn't much like it and Maddie tried to console him. As Kenleigh scooted away, he looked all coy. I think maybe he really does like her. ;)

I worked on the house all day so Angie took the kids to Nan and Pop's for dinner tonight.

Nate enjoys being outdoors on the last day of summer. All too soon it will be dark before we get home from work. It even felt a little bit like fall today.

08.26.10 - I like big trucks and I cannot lie

After dinner, we went up to Maize South High School for Big Truck Night, a fundraiser for the Early Childhood Center. There were police cars and fire trucks and limos and SCHOOL BUSES!!! It was Nate's (and his mom's) first time on a school bus and he (she) absolutely loved it! In just a few years, Nate and his sister will probably be riding that bus to school.
