10.25.11 - What's happening?!!

While watching a replay of last night's World Series Game 5, Nate mimics St. Louis Cardinals' manager Tony LaRussa after what could be considered the biggest managerial blunder in World Series history. Wanna know what I'm talking about? Click here.

07.10.11 - Hats

We took the kids outside briefly this morning before the heat settled in for the day. Nate put on his own shoes and Angie lathered on the sunscreen but before heading out the door, he stopped to grab one of my Reds hats that was nearby.

05.31.11 - Wingnuts baseball

Thanks to Uncle Tim for hooking us up with some free tickets, we spent part of the evening at Lawrence Dumont Stadium to watch the Wingnuts. Angie was able to hold him long enough to get this photo before he wrestled his way out of her arms.


All he wanted to do was climb on the metal bleachers so I ended up walking around with him. The Wingnuts won but I can't tell you anything about the game other than that one of the Wingnuts players hit a home run.

03.28.11 - Yay, baseball!

Grandpa Greg, Grandma Nancy and kids came over tonight to meet Tommy. Greg, a die-hard Royals fan, really liked Nate's Royals ball and bat set. In fact, I'm not sure who liked playing with it more, Nate or Grandpa Greg!

07.30.10 - Fireworks!

Nate went to his first Royals game tonight. And, like a true Royals fan, he really only cared about the free fireworks!

07.12.10 - Spit ball

I think this was originally Harley's toy though she never played with it. She passed it down to Maddie, as you can see here. Occasionally, Nate gets to play ball, too!

07.10.10 - Take me out to the ballgame ...

Thanks to Nan and Pop for giving us free tickets, we took Nate to his first baseball game tonight. The Wichita Wingnuts beat the Grand Prairie Air Hogs 11-3. Of course, it was only 3-2 when we left but it was well past the kids' bedtime. We made it through four and a half innings, though, which counts as an official game. Go 'Nuts! (And Go Nate!)

07.05.10 - Conversations with Nate

While sitting with me on the sofa today, Nate grabbed my ball cap so I let him wear it. We all thought it was pretty funny! This photo reminds me of a similar scene with Maddie at about the same age. Click here to see it.

05.19.10 - I'm bananas!

Maddie has a Snuggly Bunny. Nate has a Snuggly Monkey. You can't see it, but under the Snuggly Monkey his shirt reads "I'm bananas for Mommy." Isn't it nice to see him in something other than a baseball outfit?

04.26.10 - LA vs KC?

Nate already owns more baseball team outfits than I do! Unfortunately, the Dodgers do not play the Royals this year.

04.11.10 - Daddy and me

Nate and I enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon while watching a baseball game on TV.

04.10.10 - Damn Yankee$

Nate has quite a collection of baseball outfits including this personalized Yankee$ jersey from Grandpa Greg. I guess if there's a Yankee with whom to share a number, it would be Derek Jeter. And, I guess if he grows up to play baseball for the Yankee$ and makes 85 bajillion dollars and shares some of it with me, I guess that's alright, too.

04.09.10 - Go Cards!

Our friends, James, is a hopeless Royals fan. He doesn't want Nate to grow up suffering like he has the past few years so he bought him a Cardinals onesie instead. Despite his best efforts, Nate still has about five Royals onesies. Oh, well.

04.06.10 - Great catch!

In the spirit of Opening Week, Nate sports another baseball outfit which, I think, is spot on! He is a great catch!

04.05.10 - Opening Day

Nate was not quite as excited about Opening Day as was his daddy. Soon enough, he'll learn. ;)

03.18.10 - Just keep swimming

Nate's tummy time pose looks like he could be doing the butterfly or breast stroke. C'mon, kid! You're supposed to like baseball!
