10.31.10 - Just monkeyin' around

Nate's a monkey for Halloween. Yes, he's clapping.

10.30.10 - Just happy

The weather has continued to be so nice the past few days that today we decided to go to the zoo. We were there an hour and went through the Children's Farm, where Maddie and Nate together rode on the wooden steer. This isn't something Maddie would ordinarily do on her own but when she saw how much fun her brother was having she insisted on joining in.

10.29.10 - Boy eats shark

Nate kept this shark in his mouth for most of his bath time tonight. Splashed with both hands and never dropped it.

10.28.10 - Let me outta here!

Nate wants to go outside with his sister. Fortunately, Angie was nearby to keep him from crashing through the screen.

10.27.10 - Share and share alike (except with Harley)

Nate has no problem sharing his snack before dinner. Although at his young age, he can't do much about it if either of his sisters mooch a few Puffs off him.

10.26.10 - Patty cake

Nate watches his sister "roll 'em up and roll 'em up and throw 'em in the pan!"

10.25.10 - Peas

Nate attempts some people food! Next up, blueberry pancakes.

10.24.10 - Pushin' up

Nate's getting better with his legs. He's starting to push himself up on to one knee.

10.23.10 - Cute and handy

A future mechanic, perhaps? Maybe, but all he'll learn from me is how to change the oil and change a tire.

10.22.10 - Dinner time

Nate sure does like to eat! He doesn't, however, like to wear bibs, ripping them off. Once the bib is removed, he keeps tugging at his collar.

10.21.10 - First kiss

Nate got his first kiss tonight as we were hanging out with our neighbors Andrew and Tori and their daughter Kenleigh. He didn't much like it and Maddie tried to console him. As Kenleigh scooted away, he looked all coy. I think maybe he really does like her. ;)

10.19.10 - Head and shoulders above the rest

Heck, yeah, he is!

10.18.10 - Don't we feed you?

Nate has an obsession with Harley's food bowls.

10.17.10 - Good day for a nap

Nate had a rough time taking a nap on his own so Angie used that as an opportunity to lay with him in our bed. The both drifted quickly off to sleep.

10.16.10 - "How do you fix a broken pumpkin?"

Ha! That's a real knee slapper of a joke, Dad!

10.15.10 - Missing Harley

Harley spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa Shepherd because we had a new roof put on the house. As a result, Nate made friends with Meeko, the boxer from next door before we went to pick her up.

10.14.10 - Get your own!

Maddie swipes a handful of Cheerios off of Nate's breakfast tray to which it looks like he's thinking, "Hey! Get your own!"

10.13.10 - Lookin' up to Pop

Nate pulls up on the side of Pop's chair as Pop reaches down to touch his hand.

10.12.10 - Early evening light

The impending time change means the sun is setting now during dinner. Soon it will be completely dark but for the next few weeks, a nice touch of some really sweet light falls on our dining room table.

10.11.10 - Matchy matchy

Lisa snapped this photo of Nate and his buddy, Keeghan, at day care today after she realized they were wearing the same shirt (with nearly the same slobber stains!). Yes, they love their dads as much as their moms love shopping at Target.

With a little help, Nate can look out the window with his sisters!

Nate watches as Maddie shows him how to work the Laugh and Learn table.

Nate gets another glowing report from Lisa as we pick him up from day care.

10.07.10 - Dining with Nan

I worked on the house all day so Angie took the kids to Nan and Pop's for dinner tonight.

10.05.10 - Funky Mama

Tonight we went to the free Funky Mama concert at Intrust Bank Arena Maize South High School. It was loud and the kids were a bit under the target age but they entertained each other when they weren't busy chomping on puffs or Smarties, the only candy Maddie knows. The show ran 45 minutes but we didn't stick around to see if there was an encore.

10.04.10 - "I don't like this hat!"

Nate tried on stocking hats at Target tonight and hated every minute of it.

10.03.10 - Do you have this in blue?

Nate enjoys being able to see the top of his laugh and learn table from his cozy perch that is Maddie's chair. She's good at sharing but when she saw him sitting in her chair, she started yelling, "Bruh-der! Bruh-der! Bruh-der!" her voice raising in volume with each "bruh-der!"

So, Gramma Karen and Grampy Keith ... think you can get this in blue? ;)

10.02.10 - Sniffles

This has been our reality today. We canceled a much anticipated trip to Manhattan because the kids just felt cruddy. We must have gone through an entire box of Kleenex and rubbed their poor little noses raw! Traveling would have made a long day seem even longer. We had to get out of the house for a little while, though, so we went to the zoo and had dinner at Pizza Hut.

10.01.10 - One frame

Time got away from me today and this is the only frame I shot today. That's bound to happen when you've been blogging daily for nearly two years. I'm surprised it hasn't happened more often. Sorry, buddy. I'll try to make it up to ya.
