07.31.11 - Boys will be boys

While Maddie was using the potty today, Nate did the only rational thing an 18-month-old boy could do: He put a diaper on his head. Don't worry, it was a clean one.

07.22.11 - Show me your pouty face, Nate!

Nate's been showing off his pouty face a lot this week. It could be that he's the middle child ... or it could be that he does it on command and then follows it up with a big, cheesy grin.

07.11.11 - Dressing Myself

Tonight Nate decided to dress after we put his jams on. I remember Maddie doing the same thing at this age.

07.10.11 - Hats

We took the kids outside briefly this morning before the heat settled in for the day. Nate put on his own shoes and Angie lathered on the sunscreen but before heading out the door, he stopped to grab one of my Reds hats that was nearby.

06.27.11 - Breakfast with Daddy

Nate is the early bird at our house and usually eats a banana with Daddy every morning before Maddie and Tommy even wake up. He likes bananas so much he is trying to steal Daddy's even though he has his own!

06.23.11 - Proud Papa

Nate clings to Grandpa Shepherd after hanging out as his house for awhile. I'm struck by how proud my father looks here. More than once I've heard him or my mother comment that he enjoys watching the kids grow as he gets to experience all that he missed all those years working the night shift. And considering I never really got to hang out with any of my grandparents, I'm glad they live close enough that they can share in their lives.

06.17.11 - (Wannabe) Arteest

Nate likes to follow his sister's lead in coloring but really all he likes to do is eat the crayons. At lunch today, Angie reports, he tried dipping one in ketchup.

06.15.11 - Backyard buddies

Neighbors Kenleigh and Ellie play in the sandbox with Nate during a backyard barbecue.

06.02.11 - Chase

Grandpa Greg chases Nate around his living room tonight. We're glad Nate gets along with him so well!

05.31.11 - Wingnuts baseball

Thanks to Uncle Tim for hooking us up with some free tickets, we spent part of the evening at Lawrence Dumont Stadium to watch the Wingnuts. Angie was able to hold him long enough to get this photo before he wrestled his way out of her arms.


All he wanted to do was climb on the metal bleachers so I ended up walking around with him. The Wingnuts won but I can't tell you anything about the game other than that one of the Wingnuts players hit a home run.
